Lumos Powermount 2.0 is not only a cleaner & stronger solution than all of the competition it is also the safest in the industry.  With a 25 year equipment warranty on most Solar panels and inverters now a days it is important for the consumer to demand 25 year solutions for wire management and protect the home against improper and inadequate installations.

Here are some examples of systems with out  The Lumos Powermount 2.0 mounting system.

Though fires from solar panels are extrtemely rare, they do happen.  Failure of the solar panel is not what usually causes the fire, it is caused my impropoer installation of the system.   That is why we use the Lumos Powermount 2.0 Rail system for our panels.  These high quality rails are designed with a wire chase to keep your wires neatly organized and off your roof.  Using a wire chase also reduces the need for zip-ties, which can add stress to the jacket of the wire.  Doing so helps reduce the risk of wiring issues greatly and also helps to keep debris from being caught on your roof under the panels.

There are many reasons that owning a house makes more sense than renting, so if you had the chance would you rather own your electricity instead of renting it from the utility company?  One of the advantages of having a solar system installed is that you would own part of your electrical production instead of "renting" energy from the power company.  Keeping this in mind, why would you want to rent a solar electric system?  Our competitors offer a rental plan of $45 a month for six years which comes up to $3420 and at the end of 6 years you would have the choice to purchase it or have it removed.  Here at CES we offer a similar system for purchase. Our system costs approximately $3600 after tax incentives and you will own it outright after 5 years. With this system installed the money you save on your electricity bill will cover the cost in 4-5 years.

This graph illustrates the money you will save over the lifetime of the system. The total life-cycle payback is almost 500%.

Not only will your system pay for itself after 4-5 years, it will also be worth approximately $12,000 is you choose to sell it making solar panels a great investment.  In addition to the wonderful financial benefits of this investment, your solar system will help reduce greenhouse gases by 94 tons of CO2.

We only use the highest quality components at CES.  All PV panels we install are Lumos and we use Enhpase micro inverters.   The efficiency of Lumos panels is 14.97% which his higher Sharp's of 14.7%, a BP of 13.8%, or a Trina panel of 14.1%.  Lumos panels are made to such high quality standards that one we have was hit by a fork lift and severely damaged but still outputs its full specified voltage when in sunlight.

This graph illustrates the increase in savings as the price of electricity increases.

Google has now added a geothermal map of the United States to Google Earth.  In addition to this Google has partnered with SMU Geothermal Lab studying the potential of EGS (Enhanced Geothermal Systems) in the continental United States.  This project estimates that the  Technical Potential for the continental U.S. exceeds 2,980,295 megawatts using EGS.  Google has also invested over $10 Million dollars into the advancement of EGS.

How do you take a Structural Insulated Panel or SIP ( panel shown in first picture) which can handle a 200 mph wind and can be turned into a 6,200 square foot replica of an Antibellum home. This is the new Office Bldg. for one of the oldest Tug Boat Operators in Southern Louisiana Bisso Towboat Co., Inc. For 200 mph you will need to use the 6" Ocean Safe SIP panel, a lot of steel studs and steel joists, you then must hire Comfort Engineered Systems, Inc to design the HVAC system to match this outstanding building to low energy needs and the HVAC systems. Because of the great insulation quality of the SIP panel with zero thermal bridging to deal do to the fact there is no framing lumber to bridge all that heat into the structure. So with our hot humid summers and because the SIP panel eliminates all that heat transferring through the lumber we are able to cool and heat this 6,200 sq ft. office building with only 6.5 tons. All the other Mechanical Engineers wanted to cool and heat this office bldg using 25 Tons. If you do not believe us ask Bisso TowBoat Co., Inc.

This is a wonderful example of Team work and believing that Engineering the project from the beginning is important. We completed all of the HVAC Engineering before a single trade set foot on site.

Once again Comfort Engineered Systems, Inc. as proven to be leader in the HVAC and Renewable Energy market.

Seventy two billion US dollars is the amount of tax payer dollars that have gone to Oil Companies in the US.  $72,000,000 or a stack of cash nearly 5000 miles long, or if your keep track that a stack of $100 bills 50 miles.  However we haven't been hearing much about the devastating effects social effects of oil, or about the countless lives that are fought to control oil.  What we have been hearing about from all or media is how Solyndra went Bankrupt with 500 million dollars.

Many of you may know solar panels are composed mostly of silicon crystals and that Silica Dioxide is nothing more than common Quartz found in sand through the planet.  Every minute enough solar energy falls on the world to produce the equivalent of the worlds annual energy usage.  I mean seriously no one wants to war over sand unless there is oil in it.  But the media and the controlling factors of this world would have you believe you need "Drill Baby Drill".  Drill baby drill has been callously preached to us over and over again even as America recovers from the largest oil spill in our history.  It is only our largest in American history because American companies have devastated much larger ecosystems in places like Nigeria and Venezuela that don't make it on the 6 o'clock news.  Not to mention that Venezuela based company Citgo and Valero are taking our tax payer dollars as well.

Well it is high time that we acknowledged that we are fully capable of being completely energy independent at a moments notice.  Refine the sand put it on the roof and lets call it a day once and for all.

The only downside of solar would mean a solar circumference of the Globe as to guarantee an unlimited supply of solar the World over.  It's time for the 99% of us to commit to seeing this through together and telling the 1% to shove their oil where the sun don't shine.

This 5.39kW solar array was designed with peak production and the best warranties you can get anywhere.  Boasting a 25 year warranty for both the solar array and the most efficient micro inverters the M215 gave Comfort Engineered Systems and our customer a lifetime of worry free energy production for his roof.

The homeowner researched energy efficiency improvements and found Comfort Engineered Systems to be a wealth of knowledge and a one stop shop in regards to home efficiencies.  Able to handle not only the solar installation, but because CES is a State Licensed Electrical and Mechanical Contractor we are able to address, mechanical needs, electrical needs as well as any plumbing and the insulation design measures.

Comfort Engineered Systems started out by performing a mechanical load test on his home and designed a highly efficient HVAC system for his home.  From there we were able to specify what the insulation requirements would be for the hoe to offer incredible energy savings over his nearly 10 tons of cooling he started with.  After that we looked to his roof for Energy production and decided on the Lumos LS245 as it is a great combination of cell efficiency at 18%+ and cost per watt and then coupled it with Enphases newest M-215 micro inverter we over came many of the short comings of previous micro inverters.

Although this home is still a work in progress this may very well be the Greenest home on State Street in uptown New Orleans.
