The Bosch Greenstar series of ultra efficient wall mounted condensing boilers utilize condensing technology, where the latent heat in the unit’s exhaust gases is extracted and re-used, to provide extremely energy efficient heating to homes and commercial spaces. The condensing technology is a highly efficient use of energy and significantly reduces carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere.

Greenstar condensing boilers can offer efficiency levels of up to 98.7 percent, meaning they turn 98.7 percent of the fuel used into heat – a significant upgrade compared to traditional or non-condensing boilers. As a wall-hanging unit with multiple size configurations based on need, the Greenstar series can also free up valuable floor space inside the home.

The condensing boilers feature industry-leading design and technology components built for years of reliable operation and optimal energy efficiency. A fully modulating fan automatically increases or decreases its speed according to the gas amount coming into the combi boiler based on heat demand. This modulation of fan speed prevents the combi boiler from either having too little or too much air in the unit for optimal combustion – assuring high efficiency.

The unit’s durable heating blocks are corrosion resistant and designed to optimize clean-burning combustion over an extra large surface area, and they require minimal servicing and reliance on spare parts during the boiler’s lifetime.

Greenstar boilers offer easy and secure access for maintenance and servicing. The Bosch Heatronic III, a device integrated into the base of the boiler, provides instant access to the hot water and heating controls, and a removable front panel provides direct access to the boiler’s heat cell. A plug-in diagnostics module further streamlines the unit’s serviceability. A keypad safety lock button feature prevents unwanted tampering, triggering a disable feature, audible alarm and error code for increased reassurance to homeowners with children.

The included FW200 digital thermostat and outdoor reset boiler control act as the nerve center of a home’s heating system. Programmable with up to six switching times throughout the day, this interface can be installed within the appliance or be wall mounted in any location throughout the home. Control of up to four devices in cascade is possible. Additional Bosch products, including solar applications, can be programmed using supplemental module control options from the unit.

Bosch offers tankless, point-of-use and heat pump electric water heaters, solar thermal systems, floor-standing and wall-hung boilers, geothermal systems, as well as controls and accessories for every product line.

Though fires from solar panels are extrtemely rare, they do happen.  Failure of the solar panel is not what usually causes the fire, it is caused my impropoer installation of the system.   That is why we use the Lumos Powermount 2.0 Rail system for our panels.  These high quality rails are designed with a wire chase to keep your wires neatly organized and off your roof.  Using a wire chase also reduces the need for zip-ties, which can add stress to the jacket of the wire.  Doing so helps reduce the risk of wiring issues greatly and also helps to keep debris from being caught on your roof under the panels.

There are many reasons that owning a house makes more sense than renting, so if you had the chance would you rather own your electricity instead of renting it from the utility company?  One of the advantages of having a solar system installed is that you would own part of your electrical production instead of "renting" energy from the power company.  Keeping this in mind, why would you want to rent a solar electric system?  Our competitors offer a rental plan of $45 a month for six years which comes up to $3420 and at the end of 6 years you would have the choice to purchase it or have it removed.  Here at CES we offer a similar system for purchase. Our system costs approximately $3600 after tax incentives and you will own it outright after 5 years. With this system installed the money you save on your electricity bill will cover the cost in 4-5 years.

This graph illustrates the money you will save over the lifetime of the system. The total life-cycle payback is almost 500%.

Not only will your system pay for itself after 4-5 years, it will also be worth approximately $12,000 is you choose to sell it making solar panels a great investment.  In addition to the wonderful financial benefits of this investment, your solar system will help reduce greenhouse gases by 94 tons of CO2.

We only use the highest quality components at CES.  All PV panels we install are Lumos and we use Enhpase micro inverters.   The efficiency of Lumos panels is 14.97% which his higher Sharp's of 14.7%, a BP of 13.8%, or a Trina panel of 14.1%.  Lumos panels are made to such high quality standards that one we have was hit by a fork lift and severely damaged but still outputs its full specified voltage when in sunlight.
